Flash Flood!

Assalamualaikum everybody!

Yesterday was 7th of Ramadhan.. and we were tested. It was raining heavily around 3.30pm and i was taking a cat nap.. haha.. suddenly at 5pm mama called and asked me to check whether it was flooding outside or not.. i was pretty annoyed because i was sound asleep and mama was shouting on the phone.. well, maxis sucks in kuala nerang when it rained that bad. i went out from the room to see hebi (my brother) sleeping too in front of the TV. i woke him up and asked him to go check at the back. we were darn surprised to see a riverflow of water at the back and it was as close as 1 cm to enter the kitchen area. hebi quickly grabbed some old clothes and put them at the door.. within seconds water started flowing inside the kitchen.. imagine the situation with me being heavily pregnant and all panicking and stuffing the kithcen door. hebi went out to get some tiles and what not to block the water from flowing rapidly inside the kitchen.. i was worried that that the water was going to flow inside mama's room and the tv area because the water in the bathroom was also rapidly rising. that would be horrible!

i called mr. hubs and he said to lift the baby stuff in the room and to put them on the bed. i did that and they were pretty heavy especially the baskets! pheww.. i lifted some of mama's stuff in the room under the bed like the vacuum cleaner, bags etc. then some of the stuff in the TV area like the feet massage machine, the pillows etc. by that moment the water was already flowing in the kitchen reaching the end corners of the kitchen already. we created some barriers made of curtains and clothes found in mama's room (hey that includes my long lost night dress.. hahaha) so that the water will not flow to the TV area.

after that we went out to see the flood outside.. the water flowed like a rapid river.. the shoes were all gone, the things from the backyards like the stool, the garbage container, the paint can were floating.. it was scary. i just hoped that the water will not enter the living room.. it was like a few inches away already. if it did, it would be a different story altogether!
